Lately, many companies have been facing an increase in employee turnover, which results in higher costs of finding and training employees. Many researched point out that employees are more likely to leave within their firsts weeks if they don not experience a well-structured enough onboarding. This poses the question - are enough time and resources being spent on implementing an appropriate onboarding plan? On his first day, on top of quickly acclimatizing to their new role, a new employee must adjust to the company culture. This emphasizes the value of starting off on the right foot from the get-go. HR managers need to stress the importance of onboarding and must develop a full checklist to ensure the new employee feels welcomed and encounters only smooth sailing from his first day.
If you find that you or your employer needs a template for a checklist you will find that the best place to look is on the Internet. You will find that there are many sites that offer a tremendous variety of templates that you can use to create checklists for almost any task you can imagine. These templates are designed to provide you with a place to list each of the tasks along with a box that can be used to mark them completed or a line to initial.
An implementation can be a tough animal to tame depending on how you structure it. Having the right tools and methodology behind you to define and run a project can go a long way towards a successful deployment or development effort. Since a project can span several months and involve a variety of resources and skill sets, your role as a PM is to define the rules and manner in which the team will work under so the entire implementation does not falter.
Creating a checklist is always a good idea when planning a special occasion. A baby shower is one of the most meaning occasions in a mother`s life, which is why it has to be planned carefully. It does not have to be extravagant, but one must consider some important things to make it memorable and successful.
So, the meeting planner checklist now includes the placing of advertisements in newspapers, on television and in other media declaring the coming of the event with fanfare; making a final check of the guest, delegate and attendee list; the preparation of meeting kits for the VIPs and the other attendees; checking the final seating arrangement in the conference hall, on the dais, etc; the final estimate of guests, which is to be handed over to the caterers so that they may prepare food according to the number of heads; checking whether all planes and trains are running on schedule and making arrangements for airport pickups in limousines for VIPs; checking hotel bookings once again; etc.
Your meeting planner checklist does not end here. As the date of the meeting draws closer and closer, you have to check and reconfirm that everything`s as you have decided, that there is not any controversy about the venue, date and time, before you finally send out the invitation cards. You also have to finalize on the rough estimate of the number of people who will be attending the meeting, menu and the caterers, the light and sound effects, accommodation for the VIPs and celebrities, who will go to receive them at the airport, whether you will allow TV personnel to give a live coverage of the event, etc.
