A wedding planning checklist is a useful tool in your wedding planning and one which you may come to rely on. They can tell you what you will need to do as you begin to plan your wedding, when you should be doing it and give you an idea of how your planning is progressing. In short they give you an itemized list of tasks and a schedule to complete them by. You can obtain free wedding planning checklists from a variety of sources including wedding websites, bridal magazines and printed wedding directories. You can also design your own at home on your computer to create a checklist tailor made to your planning.
The online diary planner is a very secure meeting planner checklist and an event planning form. You can only access your data with your Username and Password, which the application keeps confidential along with your data in its fail-safe servers. If you wish to consult meeting schedules and agenda with others, you can always share your meeting and agenda details with others through the platform of the online diary. A reliable online diary planner works across different time zones and allows the importing of contacts from other email applications into it.
Once your list is created you need to start putting your tasks in the order that they are going to need to be done. For instance, you can not start worrying about prepping the food until you buy the groceries, and you ca not start buying groceries until the menu is written. Try to create some time order to your entire task list.
Personally, I use two types of checklists. I use an excel spreadsheet and a filemaker database. They serve two different purposes: 1. The excel or spreadsheet style checklist affords a lot of room for detail and serves well as a simple database. I can plug in dates, times, names and math/budget functions. Budget functions are really important in a checklist in my opinion. For me as an event planner, I live and die by the budget. We can train anyone to plan an event, but planning an event within theme and on or below budget is the sign of a pro. Using a spreadsheet allows us to combine budget details with all of the other event details.
As the countdown to the meeting begins, there is no time for you to rest at all as you have to work to a feverish pitch. Your meeting planner checklist or corporate event planning checklist becomes your sole companion as you verify, check and recheck whether you have left out something vital, if some new difficulty has arisen, whether everything is proceeding according to plan, etc. The final build-up period to a meeting is the most crucial and can be nerve-racking for meeting planners.
Keep a copy of your checklist with your wedding planning notes and give a copy to anyone who is helping you with your wedding plans, such as your maid of honor, groom and your mom. Also keep a copy on your noticeboard or somewhere where it can be quickly referred to should you need it.
